Local residents win big on instant lottery tickets

A couple of Windsor Essex residents are celebrating after big windfalls from lottery tickets.

Olindo Mastronardi from Kingsville was $250,000 on an INSTANT CROSSWORD DELUXE.

The ticket was purchased at Jack's Mini Mart on Talbot Street in Leamington.

John and Susan Pekor from Windsor won $75,000 on an INSTANT CA$H WORD$.

"I was playing the ticket and saw that we won $75,000 and called OLG to confirm the win. When Susan came home, we checked the ticket together using the OLG App and she said, 'Wow, it really does happen,'" said John while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up their winnings.

The couple bought the winning ticket at the One Stop Mini Market on Malden Road in Windsor.
