Slow-moving vehicle tips off OPP officer

An Ontario Provincial Police officer knew something wasn't right when he spotted a slow-moving vehicle that didn't have its headlights on.

The vehicle also had a flat tire.

The officer was on patrol on County Road 11 in Essex at the time, just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday, and pulled the vehicle over.

While speaking with the driver, police said it became apparent the man had been drinking. He appeared impaired, so the officer arrested him and took him back to the detachment for further testing.

Now a 46-year-old Windsor man faces impaired driving charges.

Police remind the public to call 911 if they suspect a driver is impaired behind the wheel.
