Sports betting starts at Caesars this week

Caesars Windsor will officially be offering sports betting as of noon on Thursday.

There will be 10 kiosks set up in the casino to allow guests to place a bet on all kinds of sports, including professional football, basketball, hockey, and soccer.

"A lot of people have been waiting to have the opportunity to place their bet and we're just thrilled that people can come to our property to do it," said Susanne Tomkins, manager of PR and Communications at Caesars Windsor. "It's quick, it's convenient, and it's a great way to place a bet on multiple games including in-game wagering."

The kiosks will be located outside the poker room and main flood sky bridge entrance.

A full-service Caesars Sportsbook is currently under construction and will open in the new year. Located in front of Legends Sports Bar, it will include 22 large-screen TVs, state-of-the-art sound, and dedicated seating. When it opens, there will be three betting windows and seven betting kiosks.

"It's an opportunity to sit, enjoy, watch the game, bet on the game have some food, have bar service, it's going to be a fantastic addition to our gaming floor," said Tomkins.

Legends Sports Bar will stay open during construction.
