Attempted murder charge after Lakeshore incident

A Lakeshore man has been arrested following a disturbance early Friday morning that sent two people to the hospital.

Ontario Provincial Police and paramedics from Essex-Windsor EMS were called shortly after 4 a.m. to a home on Brooks Boulevard. When they arrived, they found a man and a woman with serious, life-threatening injuries.

Constable Steven Duguay told WindsorNewsToday.ca that both were rushed to the hospital.

The two remain in care although the injuries are no longer considered life-threatening.

The 68-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder, and is in police custody pending a bail hearing.

The investigation is ongoing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
