Aquatic Centre main pool reopens Friday

On Friday, the City of Windsor plans to reopen its main pool at the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre.

The city closed the natatorium last Saturday after officials found a leak in the pool. It needed to be drained part of the way for repairs.

At the time, it said the closure would last at least five days.

Executive Director of Recreation and Culture Jen Knights said the cause of the tear in the pool membrane is still under investigation, and the cost of repairing it hasn't been finalized.

The pool reopens at 5:30 a.m. on Friday.

The closure of the natatorium did not impact operations at the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre Fitness Centre or Adventure Bay Family Water Park.
