WPS busy during first holiday RIDE program

The Windsor Police Service issued over 50 tickets during its first holiday RIDE program of the season.

One driver was arrested for impaired driving and issued a ticket for speeding 134 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone.

Four others had their vehicle impounded for stunt driving.

One person was clocked driving 163 km/hr in a 60 km/hr zone.

In total, there were 56 enforcement actions taken.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
