Rowing vs. Cancer this weekend at the WFCU Centre

Around 500 people will be competing in a two-hour rowing relay competition to raise money for cancer this Sunday.

Local gyms and area organizations will fill the WFCU Centre concourse from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. to support the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation's Grow On Windsor Campaign.

The Crews N Brews event has already raised over $42,000 towards the campaign.

The event was organized by Tony Smith, owner of the Garage Gym.

Each November, the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation holds the Grow On campaign to raise money to support men living with cancer in the region. All money raised stays in the Windsor-Essex region.

In 2021, the campaign raised $255,000. The foundation is hoping to raise at least that much in 2022.
