UPDATE: As of 6:49 p.m. on Saturday, the all weather advisories for Windsor-Essex county had ended.
Environment Canada has ended its blizzard warning, but it's not giving the all clear just yet.
A winter weather travel advisory remains in effect for Windsor-Essex, and the Ontario Provincial Police continue to advise drivers to stay home.
The latest advisory said the region can expect strong wind gusts of up to 80 km/h, blowing snow, reduced visibility, and extreme cold.
Wind chill values could reach near -30C, increasing the risk of frostbite.
Environment Canada's forecast for Saturday calls for more flurries.
"Remember, it does not take much accumulation in combination with very strong winds for whiteout conditions to develop," Environment Canada warns.
If visibility is reduced while driving you are advised to turn on your lights and travel and a safe distance from other vehicles.
