Leamington developing master plan for fire services

If you live in Leamington and have a concern or a suggestion for Leamington Fire Services, now is your opportunity to voice your opinion.

Leamington is launching a public survey as it works on a Fire Master Plan to meet the municipality's current and future needs.

You can find a paper copy of the survey at Leamington Fire Hall at 5 Clark Street West.

The Fire Master Plan includes a community risk assessment. Municipal officials will use it to form policy and ensure service levels keep pace with growth, technology, and development in Leamington.

The plan will cover public education and prevention, fire safety standards and enforcement, and emergency response.

The Municipality of Lakeshore also seeking public input on its new ten-year master plan for its fire department.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
