Cocaine and cash seized in Leamington drug bust

One suspect faces charges after the Ontario Provincial Police found some cocaine while searching a Leamington home.

Officers from the OPP Essex County Community Street Crime Unit, Emergency Response Team, and a K-9 Unit searched the home on Garrison Avenue last Friday.

Officers also found $50,000 in cash and suspected cocaine.

A 54-year-old Leamington man now faces a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Police released the suspect from custody until his day in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on April 17.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
