UPDATE: Police search for suspect after bank robbery

Windsor police are looking for a suspect involved in a bank robbery Wednesday night.

Around 7:30 p.m. a man entered a bank on Walker Road near Division Road. He handed a note to the teller demanding money. After the suspect got the cash he requested he took off on foot.

Police have since obtained video surveillance of the vehicle used by the suspect, possibly a Volkswagen Golf, with a loud and distinct muffler. The video can be seen below.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 20-30 years old, 6’3”, with a thin build, and spoke with a European accent. At the time of the incident, he wore a beige winter jacket, dark pants, a black toque, and black gloves. He used a black scarf to hide his face.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
