Assault in Leamington leads to charges

A 37-year-old Leamington man faces assault and forcible confinement charges after an incident on Valentine's Day.

Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to the assault that night at a Talbot Street East home.

The victim suffered minor injuries, but during the investigation, police found out the suspect also took their vehicle without permission.

The suspect also faces charges for that.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
