OPP blames impaired driving for four recent crashes

The Ontario Provincial Police has charged drivers in four separate crashes with impaired driving going back to February 18.

Two of the crashes were in Tecumseh.

In the first, a 43-year-old Tecumseh woman faces charges after a collision on Tecumseh Road East near Shawnee Road.

The second crash in Tecumseh was just before 8:30 p.m. last Thursday.

Officers were sent to Herbert Street and arrested a 70-year-old man.

Saturday morning, officers in Leamington responded to a report about a vehicle in a ditch on County Road 33 and arrested a 19-year-old man from Leamington.

The fourth crash was in Lakeshore on Sunday night.

In that incident, police responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on North Talbot Road.

A 55-year-old Lakeshore man faces charges.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
