The new structure will be adjacent to the existing structure located near the Kimmy Lucier Memorial Playground. It will be 30 feet by 25 feet in size and will be constructed of steel.
All of the equipment including the numerous sports fields, picnic sites and fully accessible playground will stay open during construction.
Construction is expected to be completed by the end of May 2023.
Four Sarnia streets made the CAA's regional Worst Roads list this year. The only road outside of Sarnia to make the top five was Windsor's Riverside Drive East.
