Public meeting this week on Little River Corridor

If you live near the Little River Channel Corridor, the City of Windsor has an upcoming public meeting to discuss its plans to make it more sustainable.

It launched an environmental assessment for the area stretching from east of Lauzon Parkway near Hawthorne Drive to the VIA Rail tracks north of Tecumseh Road East.

The city wants to enhance its ecological and aesthetic features. It needs to consult with the public first.

As a schedule B environmental assessment, the plans generally include improvements or minor expansions to existing facilities.

The meeting is on Wednesday, March 29, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Ontario Room at the WFCU Centre.

The public can comment on the plans at the meeting or until April 26.

The city will present a report on the environmental assessment after the meeting.

Those who won't make it but wish to comment can email tgraziano@citywindsor.ca or the consultant at ed@watersedge-est.ca.
