Academie Ste-Cecile launching hockey school

Academie Ste-Cecile International School is launching a prep hockey program next fall that is expected to attract students from around the world.

The program will be run by Director of Athletics Robb Serviss, a former pro-hockey player and international coach.

As part of the program, students are on the ice five days a week and play 60-80 games with other prep schools in Canada and the United States.

"It's really a student athletic program. So it's high academics with elite training where kids are moving on to Junior A hockey in Canada or the U.S. or the OHL. or NCAA, that sort of pathway," said Serviss.

In conjunction with the hockey program, students will complete their Ontario Secondary School diploma, the International Baccalaureate or an Advanced placement diploma.

Anyone interested in programs at Academie Ste-Cecile International School is invited to an open house Wednesday, May 17, 2023, from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
