New greenhouse ready to host annual plant sale

The City of Windsor's horticultural department is preparing for gardeners' favourite day of the year.

The city's annual Paul Martin Garden Perennial Plant Sale is scheduled for Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the City of Windsor's new greenhouse near Jackson Park.

"It will be the first time the public will enter the greenhouse and they'll be able to walk through our operations side as well as the whole outside," said Wanda Letourneau, manager of horticulture. "There will be herbs and spices, annuals as well as some perennials and trees and shrubs. It will be an awesome opportunity."

The sale will be open from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Letourneau said as the event is very popular people start lining up around 6 a.m.
