Fatal fire under investigation

The Windsor Police Service is investigating after a person was found dead after a fire on Chandler Road Monday night.

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services responded to the fire around 11:30 p.m.

The Ontario Fire Marshall's office has been called to investigate because of the death.

The Windsor Police Arson Unit and Major Crimes Unit is also investigating to determine the cause of the fire and the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body.

Police indicated it is too early to provide further details.

Investigators are seeking witnesses as well as video surveillance or dashcam footage taken in the area around the time of the incident.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
