OPP charge Windsor driver in Hwy. 401 crash

A Windsor man faces charges after a crash on Hwy. 401 on Sunday.

Just before 6 p.m., two cars and a tractor-trailer collided in the westbound lanes just east of Hwy. 77.

Ontario Provincial Police officers from the Lakeshore detachment responded, along with Lakeshore Fire Rescue and paramedics.

Paramedics rushed two people to the hospital, although their injuries were not life-threatening.

The crash shut down the westbound lanes of the highway for three hours.

A 35-year-old man is charged with careless driving causing bodily harm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
