Police investigating stabbing in downtown Windsor

Windsor police officers are investigating after a victim was sprayed with a noxious substance and stabbed early Sunday morning.

Police officers responded around 4:30 a.m. after getting a call about the incident on Dougall Avenue near Chatham Street West.

The victim told officers five people followed and threw rocks at him, and when he confronted them, he was sprayed and stabbed.

The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the hospital.

Investigators ask anyone with information about the suspects or the incident to come forward.
