Car strikes house overnight

A 32-year-old man is facing impaired-related charges after a car struck a house early Friday morning.

Windsor police were called to Giles Boulevard near Howard Avenue around 2:45 a.m.

Officers found a vehicle with extensive front-end damage as well as damage to a residence.

The driver of the vehicle had minor injuries and was treated by EMS at the scene.

The driver was charged with failure to comply with a release order, impaired operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to provide a breath sample.

Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information to contact them.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
