UPDATE: Suspect arrested after 11-year-old was sexually assaulted

Windsor Police have arrested a suspect in the investigation of a sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl.

Police said the incident happened on April 30. Two youths were walking in the area of Wyandotte Street East and Mercer Avenue.

The suspect allegedly grabbed the girl's arm, pulled her towards him, and tried to kiss her.

He fled when a witness intervened.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
