Leamington to honour Sutherland Cup Champs with parade

Following their first-ever Sutherland Cup Championship, Leamington residents can congratulate the Leamington Flyers with a victory parade on Saturday.

The parade starts at 5 p.m. at Leamington's municipal building and will travel through the streets to the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre.

That's where fans can meet team members, get their picture, and enjoy a free family barbeque.

The team's three trophies for the regular season championship, the Western Conference championship, and the Sutherland Cup are on display inside the arena.

Fans are encouraged to wear red and make signs to cheer on the players.

The Flyers won their first Sutherland Cup in franchise history on Tuesday night when they beat the Stratford Warriors 4-0 in game 7.
