Woman arrested after Windsor-break-and-enter

Windsor police say a woman has been charged following an overnight burglary at a business.

Officers responded to the business on Walker Road south of Division Road at around 2 a.m. Thursday. Upon arrival, they determined that the suspect was still inside and surrounded the property.

Police arrested a 40-year-old Essex woman without incident as she exited the building.

She has been charged with breaking and entering, and possession of break-in instruments.

The charges have yet to be proven in court.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
