Schedule set for Express in NBLC Finals

The Windsor Express are heading back to the National Basketball League of Canada (NBLC) Finals.

With its semifinal series win Sunday night over the Sudbury Five, the Express stamped their ticket to the finals for the first time since 2015, and will take on a familiar foe, the London Lightning.

Game 1 of the best-of-five series is set for Thursday at 7 p.m. at Budweiser Gardens in London, followed by Game 2 in London Saturday night.

The Express are guaranteed to host Game 3 on Tuesday, May 23 at the WFCU Centre.

Game 4, if needed will be in Windsor on Thursday, May 25, and a deciding Game 5 is scheduled for Friday, May 26.

The Express return to the finals for the first time since their back-to-back titles in 2014 and 2015, and for the first time, will take on its main rival for the NBLC title. The team finished in the first round of last year's tournament.

The Lightning are defending champions who are going for their seventh title.

Tickets will go on sale at each home team's box office.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
