P.O.P. unit recovers stolen motorcycle

A Windsor man is facing charges after a vehicle stop on McKay Avenue Tuesday night.

Around 8 p.m., members of the Problem-Oriented Policing Unit were patrolling the area when they spotted a motorcycle missing a licence plate.

Officers learned that the motorcycle had been reported stolen earlier in the month.

The driver was taken into custody. After a search, officers discovered two knives, brass knuckles, 8 grams of suspected cocaine, 19 grams of suspected Fentanyl, and $660.

A 43-year-old is now facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a prohibited weapon, and breach of a release order.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
