Police dog nabs four suspects on Oldcastle property

Police dog Maximus has another four arrests to add to the list.

The Ontario Provincial Police K-9 Unit and the Emergency Response Team responded to a property in Oldcastle after a call about a suspicious person Thursday morning.

An officer reviewed security camera footage showing four suspects outside a business on Concession Road 8 around 3:10 a.m.

Maximus soon located the four, and police arrested three men from Windsor and one from Amherstburg.

All four, aged 36, 47, 37, and 35, all face a charge of theft under $5,000, although one of the men from Windsor is also charged with possessing methamphetamine.

The four will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
