UPDATE: Public tips lead police to a suspect in theft (gallery)

Windsor Police are thanking the public for their help identifying a suspect after a van was broken into and tools were taken.

It happened during the day on April 19.

A security camera recorded two suspects breaking into the van which was parked on Pitt Street West near Church Street.

The tools are worth more than $2,800.

On Monday afternoon, police arrested a 34-year-old man and charged him with theft under $5,000.

Investigators are still looking for the second suspect.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
