Motorcyclist injured in Lakeshore crash

A motorcyclist suffered minor injuries in a crash in Lakeshore over the weekend.

Ontario Provincial Police responded to the crash shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday on County Road 22 and Belle River Road.

Constable Steven Duguay told WindsorNewsToday.ca that the motorcyclist was the only one involved, and the crash occurred after the rider had lost control.

The rider was treated for minor injuries, then cited for careless driving.

That section of County Road 22 was closed for a time Sunday evening for investigation and clean up. It was reopened soon after.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
