Drivers caught red-handed street racing in LaSalle

Two drivers will have to walk for the next month after a LaSalle Police officer arrested them for street racing.

The officer was in a marked cruiser on Front Road when he spotted one driver going 47 km/h over the speed limit.

Before he could, a second vehicle started racing the first.

The driver of the first vehicle, a 23-year-old man from LaSalle, was charged for stunt driving and street racing.

The second is a 21-year-old man from Harrow. He's also charged with street racing.

The vehicles, a BMW sedan and a Ford Mustang, were impounded, and the drivers had their licenses suspended for 30 days.
