UPDATE: Fire on Askin Avenue in Windsor sends one to hospital

One person is in the hospital after firefighters battled a fire on Askin Avenue on Sunday evening.

An investigator will be on the scene on Monday morning to figure out how the fire started.

Firefighters were called to the home between Tecumseh Road West and Wyandotte Street around 8 p.m.

One occupant was transported by paramedics and officials said their injuries were non-life-threatening.

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services said one person is out of their home.

The fire caused $250,000 in damages.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
