Windsor police seek suspect in mid-May theft

Windsor police are hoping someone can identify a man connected to a theft last month.

It happened at around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, on Detroit Street near Sandwich Street. According to police, the suspect broke into a vehicle, taking several items including a pair of prescription Gucci glasses. The suspect also caused damage to the vehicle.

Police have released security camera images of the suspect and are asking the public to take a look.

Anyone who knows who the suspect is, or can provide information on the incident, should call Windsor police at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4350. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
