Windsor police seize $30k of drugs

One suspect has been arrested in a drug trafficking investigation that led to the seizure of almost $30,000 in illegal drugs.

The Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Unit started the investigation in March 2023.

On Wednesday, officers executed search warrants at a home on Hallmark Avenue, as well as three vehicles.

During the search, officers seized 2,463 suspected counterfeit fentanyl tablets, 120 Oxycodone tablets, 14 grams of hashish, and 1.6 grams of cocaine. Over $1,100 was also seized.

A 49-year-old was charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
