Man facing charges after overdose

A Windsor man has been charged with manslaughter after a woman he allegedly supplied with drugs died of an overdose.

In December 2022, a 47-year-old woman was found dead at a home on Wilkinson Lane. An autopsy revealed she died of a drug overdose. Tests showed the drugs supplied to the victim contained a lethal dose of fentanyl.

The Major Crimes Unit launched an investigation to identify and locate the victim's drug provider.

Police identified a 27-year-old man as the suspect. Officers arrested him on Sunday on Lauzon Road near Hawthorne Drive and charged him with manslaughter.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
