Driver charged after collision involving school bus

A 61-year-old driver faces charges after a collision involving a school bus on Tuesday morning.

Just before 9 a.m., a vehicle collided with a school bus at the intersection of Huron Church Road and Tecumseh Road.

Seven children on the bus were taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Windsor police originally reported the driver may have experienced a medical emergency, causing the accident.

Investigators have determined that the driver allegedly drove through a red light and collided with the side of the school bus.

The driver has been charged with failing to stop at a red light.
