Windsor police seek suspect in brutal April beating

Police are asking the public to help identify a person connected to a bus stop assault in April.

Windsor police say officers were called on the evening of April 6 to a bus stop shelter in the area of Wyandotte Street East and Aylmer Avenue. Investigators learned that a male victim was punched in the face multiple times, then robbed of his wallet when the victim fell to the ground.

The victim was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police recently obtained video evidence of the suspect, and have shared an image with the hope the public may know who he is.

The suspect is described as a White male, approximately 6’, between 260 and 280 pounds. At the time of the incident, he wore a black toque, a blue and black jacket, grey pants, and black shoes.

Anyone who may know who the man is should call Windsor police's Major Crimes Unit at 519-255-6700, ext. 4830. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 519-258-TIPS (8477) to be eligible for a cash reward.
