Canada Day activities planned in Lakeshore

This Canada Day, the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre in Lakeshore is the place to be with family activities, live music and fireworks.

The Municipality will kick off its Canada Day celebrations with a beach volleyball tournament at Lakeview Park West Beach. That starts at 9 a.m.

At the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre, the fun starts at 4 p.m. with a family swim, skate, and open gym times. There are also glitter tattoos, yard games, and display booths.

At 5 p.m., Skate Lakeshore has a synchronized skating presentation planned.

A magic show with Jangles the Clown is planned for 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Live music starts at 3 p.m. with Brian Neufeld, followed by Luc Michaud and David Labute, and Leave Those Kids Alone at 7:30 p.m.

Residents are invited to watch fireworks at dusk.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
