High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

You can expect partly cloudy in the morning, with rain in the afternoon

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services say nobody was hurt after two fires in the city on Tuesday.The first was on Brant Street between Marentette Avenue and Parent Avenue around 3 p.m.Investigators couldn't determine the cause, but the fire caused $350,000 in damage.Just before midnight, firefighters responded to a home on Hickory Road between Whelpton Street and Richmond Street in Ford City.The fire there started in a dryer and caused $2,000 in damage.The occupant was forced out of their home when the hydro and gas were shut off.
