Zeller's pop-up store coming to Devonshire Mall

Next month, Windsor shoppers can get a taste of nostaglia at Devonshire Mall.

The Hudson Bay Company has announced the next locations of its pop-up Zellers stores, and one is coming to Windsor.

The location at Devonshire Mall will open on August 11. It's one of eight new locations in Ontario, and 21 across the country.

It will open inside the existing Hudson's Bay store.

The other locations are in Kitchener, Barrie, Burlington, Oshawa, Pickering, Place D'Orleans, and Newmarket.

"Pop-ups are a key ingredient in our expansion strategy, allowing us to explore and test in new markets, gather valuable customer insights, and fine-tune our offering before establishing larger format store locations," said President of Hudson's Bay Sophia Hwang-Judiesch.

The footprint of the stores will vary from 1,000 to 2,800 sq. ft. depending on the location.

The store also boasts a presence online at www.Zellers.ca.

A pop-up Zellers opened this past March in White Oaks Mall in London, the closest location to Windsor before Tuesday's announcement.

So far, the company has opened 25 locations. Before the stores were shuttered in 2013, there were 350 across Canada.
