Suspect arrested in residential break-in

After asking for the public's help identifying a suspect in a residential break-in, Windsor Police have taken a 48-year-old man into custody.

The break-in on Bruce Avenue, north of Giles Boulevard West, was last Friday.

No one was home, but the complainant had video surveillance footage of a man entering a bedroom earlier in the evening. The suspect rummaged through drawers and took multiple items.

There was no sign the suspect had forced his way into the home.

Police released a photo and description of the man on Sunday.

Just before 7 p.m. on Tuesday, officers arrested a man on Dougall Avenue between Hanna Street and Tecumseh Road East.

The man faces a charge of breaking and entering with intent.
