Suspect arrested for downtown B&E

A 30-year-old Windsor man is facing charges after a break-and-enter at a downtown business last month.

The incident happened on University Avenue on June 20. Investigators found a suspect smashed windows to gain access to the property causing around $2,000 in damage.

A suspect was identified and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On July 21, the suspect tried to retrieve his vehicle from an impoundment at Windsor Police Headquarters. Officers discovered the outstanding warrant and took him into custody.

He has been charged with breaking and entering and possessing break-in instruments.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
