Four facing gun-related charges

Four people were arrested and multiple guns were seized after someone pulled a gun during an altercation in Pillette Village Tuesday.

Windsor police were called to the area of Pillette Road and Riverside Drive around 3 p.m. They were told that someone pulled out a gun and pointed it at a person during a verbal dispute between multiple individuals.

Officers tracked the suspects to a home on Jos Janisse Avenue. The Emergency Services Unit set up a perimeter around the property and a short time later three men and one woman exited the residence. They were taken into custody.

Police seized a loaded Glock 19, a Smith & Wesson semi-automatic handgun, and a loose extended magazine.

All four suspects are facing several gun-related charges including possession of a dangerous weapon and possession of a loaded regulated firearm. One of the suspects is a minor.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
