High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

Arrest warrants are out for two men wanted by Windsor Police after a shooting last week.Their investigation began on August 15 after a 33-year-old man was shot multiple times on Pierre Avenue between Niagara Street and Erie Street.Paramedics rushed the man to the hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.Investigators found two firearms used in the shooting a short distance away.Since then, police have been looking for 24-year-old John Managhan and 25-year-old Kyle Small.Managhan and Small are wanted on charges of attempted murder.A <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://windsornewstoday.ca/windsor/news/2023/08/17/police-release-photo-of-two-shooting-suspects">description of the pair and photos</a> were released last week, but police released new pictures on Thursday morning.Anyone with information about the shooting or the suspects' whereabouts can call the Major Crimes Unit at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830, Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477, or leave a tip online at <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="http://www.catchcrooks.com">www.catchcrooks.com</a>.
