Tips lead police to suspects in phone repair shop theft

Windsor Police issued a "huge" thank you to the community after tips from the public led them to two suspects in a theft case.

On Friday, police asked for help identifying a man and a woman who entered a phone repair shop, distracted the clerk, and took $1,200 from the cash drawer.

It happened at a store on Wyandotte Street East near Moy Avenue.

A security camera recorded the incident, and police released a photo of the pair.

Police announced they arrested two suspects on Monday morning.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
