City revamping new poverty reduction strategy

The City of Windsor wants to hear from residents as it develops its latest poverty reduction strategy.

The Pathway to Potential program is currently reviewing its investment strategies.

Around $2.1 million is invested annually by the City of Windsor and County of Essex into programs that assist vulnerable youth and families and address accessibility and financial barriers.

Early in 2024, a new request for proposal cycle will begin to select programs to enhance the poverty reduction strategy.

To ensure this strategy lines up with community priorities, the City of Windsor is asking residents in Windsor and Essex County to take a 10-minute survey.

The outcomes from the consultation will help Pathway to Potential identify priorities for the next four years.

The survey will be open until October 6, 2023.
