Pedestrian struck near Windsor riverfront

A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after they were struck by a vehicle near the riverfront Thursday evening.

Windsor police responded to Riverside Drive and McEwan Avenue around 6:30 p.m. after the collision.

The motorist remained on the scene, and paramedics took the pedestrian to the hospital.

Members of the Traffic Reconstruction Unit were on the scene for several hours to investigate.

There have been no charges laid at this time.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or may have video footage of it, to contact the Windsor Police at 519-945-9645, ext. 223.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
