Charges in Saturday crash in Tecumseh

A LaSalle man faces charges after a single-vehicle crash in Tecumseh.

The Ontario Provincial Police said it happened around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday on County Road 8.

Police said the driver showed signs he was impaired by a drug and was arrested.

They transported him back to the detachment for further testing.

A 47-year-old man is charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
