Driver arrested at Point Pelee National Park

A park warden at Point Pelee National Park arrested an alleged impaired driver Sunday evening.

The Ontario Provincial Police were called to the park around 7:30 p.m. The park warden had already arrested someone but Leamington OPP took custody of the individual.

A 31-year-old from Windsor is facing charges of operation while impaired by alcohol and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus.

A 90-day driver's licence suspension was issued and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
