Toronto Police re-arrest Windsor murder suspect

The Toronto Police has recaptured a man charged with first-degree murder in the beating death of a Toronto man in Windsor.

The 30-year-old victim died after an assault on McEwan Avenue in May 2021. Police never identified the man.

Soon after, Windsor Police arrested Prince Charles, who was 25.

Charles was out of police custody when he removed his ankle monitoring device earlier this month and disappeared.

On Monday, the Toronto Police Fugitive Squad announced they arrested Charles again and added another charge, failure to comply with a release order.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
