Two suspects arrested in downtown Windsor robbery

Windsor police have arrested two people wanted for a robbery that resulted in a person being taken to hospital.

Around 1 a.m. on Sunday, October 1, police were called to the intersection of Wyandotte Street East and Goyeau Street for a report of a robbery.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a head injury. They were told three men approached the victim and punched him in the head, causing him to fall to the ground. The suspects took the victim's wallet and iPhone, and then took off.

Thanks to tips from the public, two 19-year-olds have been arrested.

Both are charged with robbery with violence. One also faces a failure to comply count.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
